Fabrica
Fabrica
‘The Concrete Castle’ is a short film by Laura Sans that tells the story of Fabrica, a research center born in 1994 from a vision of Luciano Benetton and Oliviero Toscani.
Through the voices of its residents, known as “fabricanti”, the film showcases a place where young talents from all over the world were given creative freedom, enabling the emergence of renowned artists, designers, and creatives.
The film has been realized during the 30th anniversary of Fabrica, that took place on 6 July 2024 at Fabrica’s headquarters (a masterpiece by Japanese architect Tadao Ando) just outside Treviso, Italy. On that day around 400 Fabrica Alumni from all over the world came back to the place that shaped their career to attend a tight program of exhibitions, concerts, DJ sets, lectures, workshops, performances and screenings featuring artists who have shared their experiences at Fabrica since 1994.
